Parent Education Night Focuses on AI

Posted Date: 10/03/24 (11:00 AM)

Have you been wondering about artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on our lives? Are you wondering about AI and its role in education and schools? Do you have concerns about AI and potential negative uses?

If you can answer in the affirmative to any of these questions, you will want to attend
What Parents Need to Know About AI, a virtual parent education night presented by the Orcutt Union School District on Tuesday, October 8, from 5:30-7:30. The Zoom link for the event is HERE.

Presenting will be Joe Marquez, an instructional technology specialist who speaks on AI topics to educators and parents around the state. Marquez will provide an overview of AI and delve into both positive applications and cautions regarding AI. Marquez has done several presentations for OUSD audiences and always been well received.

In sum, we are excited about this opportunity for parents to learn more about AI from the comfort of their own homes. Hope to see you on the Zoom on Tuesday night.
